Located less than an hour’s drive west of Muscat, the Daris East Prospect benefits from excellent accessibility. It can be reached via the Muscat–Sohar Highway, continuing through Mulladda, followed by a 25 km paved road to Al Hazm, and then an 8 km gravel road leading directly to the site.
Between 2010 and 2012, Alara Resources carried out an extensive exploration program at Daris East, which successfully defined copper-gold resources. A Mining License application, originally submitted in 2012, remains under review with the authorities.
